Had the good Fortune to stay here for an Overnight. Met many staff members, all of which were very helpful and pleasant. My room was clean, bright and comfortable. Very relaxing and quiet. Even a shady veranda with chairs and a magical pixie named Sandig. Hated to leave. You'll enjoy your stay. I know I did.

Friendly staff. Beautiful furnishings and ornaments. The ideal for assisted living facilities. The neighborhood is walkable with many conveniences nearby. Second floor has an in house salon for loved ones to get their hair done and look sharp. Apartments have nice furnishings and are amply equipped. WiFi runs about $35/month.

I moved my mother from her home in 2014 to One MacDonough Place. We had visited at least 3-4 other assisted living facilities before choosing One MacDonough. It seemed the perfect size, very classy and the layout of the lobby, living room, country kitchen, dining room and the rest of the first floor were ideal for companionship and cozy. My mother lived there for almost 4 years until she passed away this month (January, 2018). We were extremely happy with the price (They are subsidized by Middlesex Hospital and I believe that is why the pricing is a little lower than most) as compared to others, the cleanliness, the care from the aids and the nursing department, and the staff in general. I literally slept better after moving her in knowing she was safe and cared for. The last 5 months, my mother required a full time care taker and we were able to add another bed in her apartment very easily. I cannot imagine a nicer place for my Mom to have lived her last 4 years. I highly recommend One MacDonough to anyone looking for assisted living for their parent(s).

This is a wonderfully supportive place to live. My father has been here for 3 years and I cant say enough about each and every member of the staff and the concern they show for him. Its very comforting to know that his care needs are being met when I am not around.

I can't say enough about my experience with One MacDonough Place. I would have loved it based solely on how much both my parents loved it, but in all honesty I loved it for myself too. Staff was like family; they all showed my parents kindness and love. The activities staff was wonderful; I never knew my parents could paint until then. The Front Desk staff was phenomenal - always knew what my parents were up to when I called; looked after them like their own parents. I commend everyone from nurses to housekeeping. Food was excellent; even the wait staff loved and befriended the residents. Once my mother said she hadn't had olives in a while, so the Chef hand-delivered olives to her apartment (to which she jokingly said that you can't eat olives without Italian bread, so next time he brought both olives and Italian bread). For me, I hated leaving my parents every night to go home, but knowing they were living in a good and safe and loving environment, and knowing that they loved being there where they never felt alone, put my heart at ease. (Oh I have to mention the fantastic parties OMP throws several times a year. Don't miss them.) Sadly both my parents have passed away now, but I'm so glad that they had such a beautiful place to call home for their last years, and that I now have such good memories of them there. I still stop by frequently to have dinner with my parents' friends and to visit the staff, and just because I can't quite let go of that wonderful place that was 'home' for a while.
