Artis Senior Living is a top notch Memory Care Community on the Shoreline. I have referred many clients there because I have seen first hand how each Resident is treated, always with the utmost care and respect. I personally have worked with Sharelle and she is a True Professional. She is caring, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. The Artis organization is very fortunate to have a caring professional on staff.James W Cowan Jr (Jamie)Life Planning Consultants

This place does not stand by the ARTIS way. The manager is nasty the way they deal and speak with their own employees is unbelievable. You lead by example and if your management degrades and belittle their own employees in front of family members, no wonder family members can speak to and even put their hands on the employees. Way out of line. This is a very unsafe environment for the employees. All around unfair treatment an the favoritisms in this place , its like a popularity contest in high school. Then you have supervisors going around spreading rumors. This place is too much. The residents are great but unfortunately I really dont see how this place is still open. The corporate office need to realize and see why theres such a big turnover rate. There has to be a reason employee and management does not stay for long.

As a long-term care insurance specialist with 25 years experiencedealing with the needs of seniors and the concerns of their familiesI wholeheartedly recommend Artis Senior Living of Branford to those who need Memory Care. The facility is spotless, comfortable and bright. Most importantly, the staff is well trained, and they really know how to engage the residents. In my experience, the residents are not treated like patients but rather like family. I would be remiss if I didnt single out Sharelle Thornton, who is the Senior Director of Community Relations. I have gotten to know Sharelle professionally over the last few years. While she is truly passionate about meeting the needs of the residents, she has shown a unique ability to represent Artis to professionals such as attorneys, financial planners and others who regularly meet with seniors and their families. She is helpful, creative and a true ambassador. I, along with several others, value the partnership I have with both Sharelle and with Artis. Thank you!

TERRIBLE place to work! They do not stand for what they claim. I was only employed for 2 months after calling out because my son was sick they wrote me up. They did not care the reason why I couldnt work. No humanity at all. Director is very prejudice & it shows. I was thinking about putting my 2 weeks in of resignation which I express to my supervisor. She pleaded with me not too, explaining I was a good worker I decided to stay! 1 week after that while on shift she called me while working letting me know the director accepted my verbal resignation my last day would be December 31st ! Never heard of a verbal resignation after being upset I asked for the hand book which it stated resignation must be in writing! Nothing verbal as I waited in the lobby for my ride , I got attorney advice from my attorney on the situation soon after I used the bathroom when coming out I see Branford POLICE. The police officer told me they called the police on me because I made it awkward being on the phone with my attorney. Theyre crazy my lawyer is STILL contacting them no matter what! Terrible place to work once again.
