I am a former employee Great place to work! And everyone is very kind. There is a few of the staff members that are a little difficult to work with but hey that happens at any job. But otherwise it's great place to work I just love Marie and Michelle they are so nice and understanding I appreciate their patience with me.

I loved my residents when I worked there, but soon I realized that Managment was corrupt. They treated it as a business instead of place where people go to be loved and cared for. Numerous times I would report problems to the Charge Nurse and nothing would be done, the scheduling manager overworks the employs and has no regard for family emergencies or loss of loved ones. It was always a battle to get him(her) to be flexible and would let the facility be understaffed instead of picking up shifts. Beautiful place on the outside, corrupt on the inside.

I was asked to write an honest review of my experience at San Marino.I I don't write reviews (and I'm an avid Amazon user) but since my experience here was exceptional, I thought, what the heck!My grandmother was a resident for about 4 years. She passed away 17 days ago.She went from two years in the assisted living wing to the memory care wing for two years.First off, let me say, the aides and care providers are amazing. They REALLY care for the residents here. Like, treat them like better than I could! When my grandma was in the last two weeks of her life here, they were diligently on top of her pain meds and rotating and changing her EVERY TWO HOURS.The place sparkles cleanliness, and I'm a clean FREAK. The food is on par for what you would expect. Meds are given on time, never missed, and if I had Grandma out for lunch, they tracked her down pretty quick to give her the dosage she was supposed to get while we were out playing. There are always things that could be better anywhere you go, but the treatment of my grandma was the most important to me.People at church would ask, 'How is your grandma going?' And I had such peace of mind knowing that she was in the best of care.A few things that I loved about the place: 1)JILL (front desk manager)-AWESOME!!! What an amazing woman, always a smile on her face when we walked in, always asking about our day, where we were headed to lunch ect... 2) the bird cage and aquariums-just a nice touch for people to check out when milling around 3) The middle garden and water fountain- found ourselves spending hours out there enjoying the flowers and sound of water, visiting with Grandma 4)carpets in residents room-I only note this because we visited another care facility and the rooms there where linoleum which was cold and clinical 5)POPCORN on Wednesdays!!!-they are always providing activities for the residents and let myself and my two kids join and have ice cream or popcorn.Well, I guess I could just go on and on. Give the place a tour, you won't be disappointed! Love you Arbors of San Marino!!!
