If I could give it -5 stars I would. I worked there for 2 years. The CNA's do not do their job. Instead, they're all out smoking. Taking 'a break'. I was the Activity Assistant. My job was to do activities and go around in the morning passing out newspapers and coffee. On top of my own job, I had to help residents to go to the bathroom and get dressed. I tried getting a Nurse or CNA and they were all 'busy' on their phones or looking at the computer. It'd be better for your loved one have someone from a home care business come to their home and help take care of them. This nursing home is horrible!!

I personally would not put my own family in there.

I could not be more pleased by the care my grandmother receives. My grandmother is currently a hospice resident and before she arrived to San Juan I was sure her transition was upon us. But after arrive she has opened up like a well hydrated flower. She is now engaging, out spoken, cracking jokes & giving fashion advice to staff. My grandmothers room is always neat and tidy, her hair (she's very particular) is always presentable. I love hearing all the funny stories the CNAs and clinical staff tell me Ive missed when I come In to see her. My grandmother knows them all by name and tells me the same stories I just heard from staff. The staff truly become family. And what excites me the most is that she has gained weight. She also joyfully told me she hasn't had any nausea in weeks. I'm not surprised by any of this. The clinical team has kept me apprised to specialized treatments being care planned for my grandmother. The facilities hospice team of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and CNAs have been true angels.

I have been the Rehab Program Manager for 1.5 years. I have seen the caring commitment of the staff demonstrated every day. We are continuing to improve and strive to provide the best possible care for our residents
