Love my life here. There is so much to do and the residents and staff are so friendly, I thank God every morning that I moved here.

I love taking my little dog there. She is a therapy dog for many of the elderly, its the best to see how their faces light up.Over the years weve had many friends moved to this facility. I believe that there will be 17 from our community. They offer many types of Living experiences. The place is kept nice, the grounds are kept clean and very manicured with lots of beautiful flowers in the summertime.I have not really heard much complaints by any of the people that I know. I guess the biggest complaint is how sometimes it just takes so long to get their food, they also have a dining time set for them. The two bedrooms are roomy. They have a library, exercise room, classes, studies, swimming pool, outdoor patio, an amazing view, many choices of restaurants to dine at and if theyre not in your building you can take a free shuttle to the next.It is pretty pricey but its a great place for people when they are older to be able to downsize.I WOULD recommend.

Windcrest is a wonderful and caring community.

It is a privilege and blessing to live at Wind Crest and there are many opportunities to participate in the community - to volunteer, to learn, and to be entertained. It is evident that management and staff work hard to make this a wonderful retirement home.

I moved into WindCrest at the end of May. Because I use a scooter the transition was most difficult in regards to transportation, none of the shuttle buses could accommodate my Lite Rider. After suffering a debilitating illness and 2 weeks in the hospital I returned to my Condo. I was too far from the restaurants and needed to arrange for food deliveries from outside. They were ok but not as expected .I was not able to go to the grocery store since my Scooter could not be accommodated. Due to the distance one must travel for Dinner/food many more people are acquiring Scooters to use, many simply can not walk that far. With new buildings going up and being told no new Restaurants will be included, I feel for the new people moving in to these buildings. I will say that in the past month since I Started Dialysis, Transportation has really stepped up and I have never missed a Dialysis session since I started beginning of September. I am very thankful! As to the food issue, the Restaurants in the newer building have improved significantly over the past several months. And food as well as portion size has dramatically improved. Unfortunately the staff, i.e. cooks, have never learned to properly season the food that I have had to eat. Also due to CKD , I am on a very restrictive diet , unfortunately I still must be on the food program, I have rarely used even 1/2 of them in any given period. As with others who have reviewed WC I would say that the buildings, grounds, esthetics are beautiful. One can make their own Condo as upgraded as they want, at a large additional cost.I current I have invested over $10,000 in just basic changes. While I find the staff more them willing to help, they not always know where or how to communicate your request for assistance. They certainly try, but I think there is a definite break down in this area. All that said, will I Stay? I hope so, but still consider it up in the air.ADDITION:I want to add that over the months since I have moved in, my Neighborhood, Mt. Rosa, is becoming a community of people, not just a building with Condos. The wrinkles we are experiencing seem to be being ironed out. I recently ate at Windows and Burtons and I had two really good Meals, with great portions and good service. I did notice that more proficient servers were mentoring newbies servers.Addition,March 13, 1019Another problem. I was transported to Dialysis, WC just called Dialysis center and said to tell me that due to snow storm I needed to find my own home! This is what a pay for? All attempts to call have been answered by voicemail! Not sure what I will do?
