I've only been here a few days but ALL the staff I've met are in the Marine Corps definition of the word OUTSTANDING. So is the facility. URRAH!

My grandfather stayed here for about a year, for physical rehab after surgery. He liked it there, and loved the staff.

I applied here - I went in for an interview and had a tour of the place. I absolutely loved the place and how it was set up. It was AMAZING and very homey. It come time to schedule my fingerprinting and drug test. I scheduled my fingerprinting without a problem. But it was kind of confusing to schedule my drug test. I finally got everything scheduled and Peggy Rampa from HR called me to let me know about my start date and to check up on everything. She was polite the first time she called. Fast forward to a week or so later - I see that my drug test expired ( It never said anything about expiring) So i called a number that came with the drug testing email. They said they couldn't help me and to call the HR lady. So i called Peggy - She was EXTREMELY rude. She had a horrible attitude with me. I asked her if there was anyway she could renew the drug test so I can take it and she started saying that i shouldn't of let it expire, why did i let it expire and that she cant help me and that i need to call Lisa Cline at the Vets home. ( She was super nice and professional) she got it to where I can do the testing again. So i schedule the testing and i have a place to do the testing at. Well Peggy emails me saying i can't do the testing at that testing site - So i email her back telling her that i cannot reschedule the drug testing and what should I do. She calls me 4-5 days later and she had the worst attitude with me AGAIN. I explained to her what was going on (I had to explain to her a good 2-3 times) and she was 'lost' Idk if she was paying attention or what. She finally got on the same track and finally understood what I was talking about. She was Telling me that they don't do drug testing at the Facility i picked (Well then why is it on there). She then put me on hold and talked to someone else. about 5 minutes later she gets back on the phone and says that i can do the testing there). I was beyond over her nasty attitude. After 45 minutes i FINALLY got the information that i needed. I was SO excited to work in this facility but Peggy made me rethink my decision. I decided to stay with my current facility. If Peggy doesn't like her job then maybe she should get a new one. She has no right being disrespectful to anyone what so ever. So if anyone applies here i hope you do not have to deal with Peggy - Because she is HORRIBLE. Thank you!!!

My Father's friend spent many months at the McCandless Home. His care was the best, came from the respect they have for residents. My dad was happy to see him there well cared for.
