24 hours into my mothers stay, she had has missed 2 rounds of meds. Sunrise refused to let the hospice provider transfer the RX order to the hospice pharmacy. Sunrise uses Omnicare Pharmacy - order showed up missing 3 prescriptions. Their call buttons are difficult for my mother to operate. The residents have the ability to unwittingly clear their own call for assistance. My mother was calling for help at 3 am. Apparently no one noticed so 91 year old mother calls her daughter on the cell phone at 3 am for help. The portable oxygen canister was empty, so I called Suncrest Hospice for assistance. They were to call for a nurse at Sunrise to help with this. No one ever came. After 20 minutes or so, I stepped into an administrators office who had been socializing with 3 of the QMaps for over 20 minutes. Administrator said she could refill the oxygen canister for me. Sorry to have to break up the party, ladies- but you have paying customers waiting for assistance.

Worst place ever.

I am consistently disappointed with my parents so-called care in this assisted living. They moved here about a year ago. The sales pitch was great but the day to day experience leaves much to be desired. The staffing is always inadequate and they have a high turnover. If you complain they retaliate and make you wait longer for needed help. Staff make random care decisions about residents. Meal times are hard because all staff are pulled to the dining section and no other help is available. Staff will tell my folks they're sorry but they don't have time. They get stuck on the toilet quite often. The building is showing a lot of wear and repairs need to be made in their apartment to broken cabinets. No body cares and maintenance is nowhere to be found. My parents have given up on asking for help too often.

I feel very safe living here. There has never been a time when I felt that my well being was compromised.
