I applied now 2 weeks ago, maybe 3 and I have called numerous times and left voicemails. No one ever calls me back. Every time I get a human, they transfer me to someone's voicemail. I'm on a time crunch to find somewhere to live, and they cant even call me back, after I paid to apply. I'm pretty frustrated about this all. I wouldn't have wasted my time or money if I knew they were going to be this way.

Was helpful in fixing our lease renewal finally but still was a lot of stress that was unneeded.

Thistle is an amazing program in Boulder County that helps locals (like myself) and families to be able to stay in Boulder and live the life they love, affordably. Their properties are amazing, and most include some (if not all utilities), and in the best neighborhoods from North to South Boulder and everything in between, Longmont and Louisville as well. You wont find another place like Thistle doing these amazing things like this for our community. I worked with Natalie Friedlander, one of the leasing agents, I highly recommend working with her, Ive never felt more cared for and better taken care of by someone helping me find a home. Im beyond grateful for her, the staff and the services they Thistle provides. Thank you Thistle community!! You make me proud of Boulder, Colorado!

I lived at one of the Thistle properties (The Ledges) and I have only good things to talk about. The staff was always very friendly and responsive. Sometimes a little bit of delay in replying my messages, but once you understand their working schedule, it's pretty much a smooth communication. The apartment's condition was better than many places that I've seen. With high quality finishes and appliances. And washer and dryer in the unit.I highly recommend!

DO NOT try to get an apartment through thistle. I put my application in three months prior to when I needed to move, and followed all the steps I was told I needed to take. I was very prompt in responses and getting information to the woman who was helping me, Rachel, while she took usually over a week to get back to me every time we exchanged emails. I could never get a hold of her in the office, only through email. I was originally told I needed 6 months worth of a landlord reference, which I provided but was then told I needed a year's worth. Keep in mind I wasn't told about this until about 2 weeks from when I was supposed to be moving. I was told a move in date, and was under the impression that I had an apartment to move into. I then tried to make something work, and was told less than one week before I was supposed to move that I did not meet the requirements. Thank god where I am now was courteous enough to extend my lease, or else I would be homeless. Thistle treats their clients horribly. Rachel was terrible. I cannot speak for the rest of the staff, but I assume they aren't held to any higher standard than she is. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate.^ above is my previous review which I still stand by. I tried to work with Thistle again when I was trying to find an affordable apartment in Boulder again a year later. Affordable housing in Boulder is a joke, and this includes Thistle. I had another less than pleasant experience with them yet again, but luckily this time I did not have much hope to be treated well because of my previous experience. I was told I would be notified when an apartment came available that met all of my needs. I was also told that I met all the requirements and since I was one person, something should come available and I should be able to move into one of Thistle's apartments. I never got a call, or an email, nothing. I wasn't expecting much from them in the first place because of my previous experience, so this did not surprise me. I then received a letter in the mail saying that because they reached out and heard nothing back from me, they were taking me off the wait list and that my application had expired. Let me be very clear here: I NEVER received any sort of communication from them at any point in time after I left their office to put in an application. I then emailed the person who sent the letter to me, detailing what had happened and that no one had ever contacted me in any way, shape or form, to which I received no response. Rethink trying anything with Thistle. I will never attempt to get an apartment with them again.
