Brookdale Uptown Whittier

all I will say I wasted time trying to get hired here I took in two applications one for kitchen and one for homecare. I was immediately contacted by homecare management went to a interview and after was told to make another interview appointment with the director. I made the interview appointment via the receptionist for 2pm few days later. I arrived the day of my interview early waited only to wait until 2:45pm to actually see the director. I understand people are busy still this was unprofessional of a director to be that late and besides she could of requested I come back another day instead of making me wait for so long. I figured the interview went good as the director told me if I did not hear anything from them call back and talk to a woman about finger printing and scheduling. I called back three times no word from this woman only to find out from the receptionist the job was filled they should of told me personally not the receptionist.... they led me on to think I had the position. It seems they tend to cancel a lot of the appointments they make for you. Also had applied to the Kitchen position was called to come in on a day then a day later it was canceled so i had to wait until I could get a hold of someone to schedule another interview only to find out they lost my application and it was a waste of time the interviewer spoke to me like it was my fault I did not have my application it is their responsibility to have it as they should be professionals. The fact I did all I could sent resumes via emails, and turned in the applications weeks ago... I wanted to like this company the people seemed nice enough heard great things but its too bad incompetence is their issue. I suggest if you try to work here fill out two applications one for you to keep on the day of the interview and one for them in case they lose it or it will be a waste of time. And also look at reviews in Glassdoor other job sites seems they have issues keeping employees long term.
