Former employee of this community and I cried like a baby when it was time to move on. Even though we were busy, it never felt like work. The residents and team will always be my family.

The communication is horrible. We had to inform several different employees several times, about medications, dietary restrictions, and gave them our number several times, with instructions to call 24/7, with any questions or concerns, but they never did. Everyone claiming no one told them. For you and your families sanity, look elsewhere.

Staff was kind and caring to the residents, sometimes putting residents' needs above visitors' requests. I felt a real sense of community among the residents. My mother felt it was like her old college dorm. Their 'one month respite' program was a godsend. But it was expensive, and its location is not conducive to taking a stroll in the neighborhood. That intersection is deadly. PV drivers often act as if sirens and traffic signals are beneath their dignity. My mother did move away from Sunrise just to be closer to my residence near San Jose. She misses the Sunrise staff
