We were considering THA as well as other prep schools for my 16 year old. I had many concerns regarding this three year old program as well as the academic portion. Well let me tell you, my son thrived there. He took his hockey skills to a new level, did well academically and made some lifetime friends. How does it get better than that? We will see! Coming back for his senior year. Well done THA!

THA has given our son Anthony an experience of a lifetime. In his words ,It was the best year of his life with the BEST people ! , and we couldnt agree more !Deciding to send our 16 year old from NY to California was one of the hardest decisions for us , but from the moment we arrived we knew it was the BEST decision! Our son has had the honor & privilege of playing for several organizations coast to coast & by far THA is the most organized & well run program. Their practice to game ratio is by far the best ! Having been part of several organizations over the years, we found it incredible & quite unusual that EVERY parent loved the program & the experience their son had . The love ,commitment , compassion & dedication from every person in THA makes these athletes feel confident & continues to shape them into respectful young man , amazing students & top athletes. So thankful to everyone at THA for all they did for our son!

Our son entered Tahoe Prep Hockey Academy last year as the youngest goalie at just 14 years of age, going into grade 10. Coming from Canada, we knew this was an incredible opportunity for him in his goalie development, social and personal development and it allowed him to continue to maintain his high GPA while taking advanced placement classes. He's going into grade 11 in the fall and will have already completed his senior year in advanced placement calculus. If we were to keep him home with us, he would not have the same development, level of coaching or the same opportunities to advance so rapidly through his high school classes. Tahoe is like a family to us and Head Coach Leo truly treats our son like he was his own. The team manager and house mom Kristina has been an amazing presence for the boys and was always in touch with me right away any time our boy caught a bug (which was maybe 2 or 3 times the entire year). Goalie Coach Fritzy is the absolute best and our son's skills are night and day from where he was when he entered Tahoe last year! We look forward to another year of Tahoe Prep for our son this fall!!!

My son started with THA when they first opened there doors. He is one of two that has attended all 3 years. He has become a young man and better person over the last 3 years. His hockey skills have improved over the last 3 years as well as his overall love for the game that will take him to Juniors for the upcoming season. I have nothing but respect for all the coaches, but especially Leo. What he has done for my son I can never repay him. He has been in my sons corner through good times and bad. He truly cares about the kids. As for the dorm life, nothing but a huge shout out to Kristina and Ellen and all the rest of the staff. But one staff member went above and beyond and Poncho thank you to you and your family for taking Noah under your wing and teaching him what it means to respect what you do and respect the people around you. His love for cooking has sky rocketed and I know the future is bright for him. Thank you THA family. I cannot leave these 2 out. Kelly and Mike thank you from my family to yours for doing what you do, day in and day out. Without you none of this would have possible for Noah.
