Gorgeous views and a pretty walk around the walk overlooking Haight.

We are so grateful to have found Buena Visa Manor House for our parents! Every day our mom tells us how much she appreciates the amazing, loving care that she and our dad receive. True to its name, Buena Vista is beautiful with a spectacular view of the city on one side and a lovely garden (with seating) on the other. Residents eat in an elegant dining room, and the common rooms (with that gorgeous view) are very comfortable and inviting. But what makes Buena Vista truly extraordinary is the leadership and whole team David, Susie, Ophelia, Angie, and all the caregivers and staff. The kindness, loving care, and respect they show our parents is heartwarming. There are regular musical performances, daily exercise, and games. The director, David Wall, pays attention to things that lift the spirit, from artwork (our mom has favorites) to music on the PA system.During our first visit to BVMH, we sat in the library with our parents and had tea. Swing music was playing in the background. A visitor later played tunes on the piano for her friend. When it was time to depart, our dad--who doesnt speak much anymore--said, I dont want to leave here. He felt comfortable and safe from the get-go.One employee uses Spanish versions of our parents names, making them feel like family. And on our parents wedding anniversary, the staff brought them a bouquet of beautiful flowers from the garden. The BV team handles medical appointments, medication management, and communication with families efficiently and reliably. Fees are transparent and reasonable compared with the other San Francisco options we explored, and there are no surprises in fees from month to month. Finally, if your family member has dementia, the care at Buena Vista is exceptionally compassionate. Buena Vista has helped us keep our parents together. This has meant the world to both of them and simply would not have been possible elsewhere. Our parents are happy and thriving, and visiting with them at Buena Vista is a joyful experience for all of us. We could not be more grateful!--Sarah Rischin Gadye, Abby Rischin, and Rebecca Rischin
