Spiva Acres Residential Care & Assisted Living

My mother became a resident of Spiva Acres Assisted Living back in November of 2016. I had visited many facilities when searching for an assisted living home for my mom and after meeting the staff and visiting their facility we decided on Spiva. I was very relived to know that while residing at Spiva, my mom was cared for with much love and respect. This was especially the case since I reside in Hawaii and was very concerned that being so far from my mom that she would still be well cared for. But I soon discovered that everyone at Spiva took extra time and attention to make sure my mom was happy and well cared for. This level of compassionate care continued even as my mothers memory and ability to care for herself diminished during the last year of her life. I am grateful to the staff for showing my mom love, kindness and patience during this sometime difficult time. I know very well how difficult the process for choosing a care home for your loved one can be. Therefore, I do not hesitate to recommend Spiva Acres to anyone who is looking for a care home for their loved one.

I would like everyone to know about Spiva Acres Assistant Living. My father was there for over a year. He was treated with respect, kindness and had a friendship with all the other residents. This is a home with about 10 residents. It is a country setting. You could look out side or go outside and see rabbits and turkeys. He had his own room with his television and computer. They took great care of him and made sure his needs were met. My father was very happy there. My father had a stroke 4 weeks ago and passed away on April 6, 2018. I would recommend Spiva if your family would like to have a smaller home setting.

When looking for a location to place our mother, I visited several assisted living homes in the area. Spiva Acres was, by far, the best location. It is clean, bright and spacey. Since it was specifically built as an assisted living quarters, it provides a very nice living condition. The caretakers do a very good job of assisting the needs of the residents. They are caring and attentive to the needs of the various individuals. We feel she is in the best possible place and is quite comfortable there.
