The family of Bill Hostetter would like to thank the Staff and Administrators for welcoming my husband, Bill, to Sierra View Homes in August of 2017. Bills health had been declining for many years and he eventually became bedbound and I was no longer able to care for him at home. His doctors advised a Skilled Nursing facility. My family is from Reedley and we knew Sierra View Homes was the highest rated facility in Reedley and surrounding areas. Many members of my family had been residents at SVH thru the years so we were extremely pleased that we were able to place Bill there. Bill was welcomed to SVH and became a part of this amazing faith based Community. Bill felt at home there and eventually made special friends and joined some group activities. He even made me a handmade Valentine card! He participated in PT and OT and got up for meals in the dining room. I joined him for meals about 3 times a week. I was so impressed to see the Executive Director, Vito, assisting staff at meal times and taking the time to visit with the residents. Vito knew Bill was interested in the Stock Market and shared his personal copy of the Wall Street journal with Bill. He was delighted! All the Administrators assisted with meal times in both dining rooms. We saw Ro, Crystal, Barbara, Nancy and others helping out. Bill became friends with the Chaplain who would visit at meal times also. It was comforting to Bill to talk with the Chaplain especially as his health declined a bit. There was Sunday Church Services that Bill and I attended at times. Bills Medical needs were top priority. An amazing staff from Barbara, the Director of Nursing to the RNs , the LVNs, and the CNAs took wonderful care of Bill. The SVH Doctor visited Bill often and was always on call if needed. SVH celebrated holidays with a special meal followed by a program of music and song. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Veterans Day Mothers Day and Fathers Day were always very special. All the residents enjoyed these festivities! I and other family members were invited to join Bill on those special occasions! Bill became very comfortable living at SVH. I was even able to take our dog Toby to visit! That made Bill and Toby happy. Toby missed his Daddy a lot and Bill missed Toby! We were blessed that Bill could reside at Sierra View Homes! Sincerely, Bernice Bergthold-Hostetter

I'm a little partial to Sierra View. My mother, 5 aunts, 2 brothers, 2 cousins, 1 nephew, and my wife and I lived here. My sister and brother-in-law are moving into one of the cottages right now. I wouldn't even think of going anywhere else. Many years ago my family used to bring a Christmas tree down from the mountains and set it up in the dining hall! That was before they started using the brand new dining hall.I was the first one to move into the Terrace, and I'm very pleased. I'm not going anywhere.

I've been here in Sierra View Terraces for four years this Thanksgiving. My experience here couldn't be better. I swim and use the pool, when I needed therapy for a back problem I got the best care I could have possibly got. You get help with everything, even my email account - my computer quit a few weeks ago and Crystal came and fixed it! Everything is kept up so nicely...it's hard to put into words how great my experience has been. It's the smartest move I ever made.

I'm really blessed here at S.V. My husband is in skilled nursing and I can see him many times a day. He's as happy as can be. I enjoy that I can swim 5 days a week in the indoor heated pool I thank the Lord for living here at Sierra View. I've had a good experience meeting new friends.

It has been almost two years since our parents moved into the Terrace Apartments at Sierra View Homes. Since then we have had numerous opportunities to interact with Sierra View's staff on our parents' behalf. Whether our concern was a simple thing like having dinner brought up to our parents because of the summer heat or dealing with an emergency situation that required transport to the ER via ambulance, the people at Sierra View always demonstrate compassion, understanding, and professionalism. I believe this is due, in great part, to an obvious hands-on approach to management. It is not uncommon to see Sierra View's management staff waiting tables in the dining hall or the executive director tenderly feeding a wheelchair-bound resident.
