The Oaks has got to be one of Pasadena's best kept secrets! You could live in this city for decades & never really know it's here, but this place is a wonderful retirement community! Snuggled between the park-like grounds of Las Encinas & the cheery larger retirement community of Monte Vista Grove, The Oaks boasts two large apartment buildings, a gorgeous, traditional dining room, swimming pool & jacuzzi surrounded by well-grown trees, and also a supplemental Assisted Living facility. The apartments are amazingly spacious and each one includes either a kitchen or 'kitchenette' and a decent-sized covered patio or balcony. The food has always been a highlight for me when I visit here - they have a fabulous chef who really pulls out all the stops!
