Westhaven has been a godsend for my family and aunt who has thrived there for the last several years. The level of communication, resources and assistance Westhaven provides to the family is remarkable. More importantly auntie loves the food, activities, friendships and constant attention. I cannot imagine a staff of more caring and loving individuals. Their professionalism and kindness exceeds all expectations. Thank you Aaron for sitting with my aunt at the hospital until we could get there. This is the easiest 5-star review I have ever given.

I don't know about the reviews previous to mine, but my experience was quite different. I am currently working here and have enjoyed every moment of it. It is a tiring, relationship focused workplace that requires a strong desire to serve seniors out of love. The staff may mostly be Christian, but they do not force their faith on anyone. Also, since i am working here, i completed a job interview and was asked about my faith. The gentlemen who interviewed me made it clear that this was a Christian Senior Living facility and even with that they also employ people and allow residents to live there who are not Christian. With that, i recognize Westhaven, and every care facility are not perfect. At the same time they are also striving to improve and do their best assist and care for the residents in whatever ways possible and necessary.

I applied for a job at this place. They called me for a job interview but the only thing the interviewer seemed to care about is my religion preference. I asked her, 'what does that have to do with my ability to perform excellent patient care?' She said, 'well this is a Christian facility.' I said, 'I do not discriminate against a person race, religion, or sexual orientation. Why should mine matter? I won't be the one living here!' Well, that did not go well and after reading the bad review from someone who actually had a relative live at this place. I could understand how they don't have great workers.... They have the wrong person employed to do the hiring... She is trying to convert people to be a Christian rather then hire qualified skilled workers. On a positive note: this place is beautiful to look at. The cafe look just like a mini restaurant!

My father died in June at this facility, and suffered for days being thirsty, and kicking like a dying dog to get away from his pain. I was told not to give him water and that staff would minimize his pain and suffering, but every day I visited him at different times, he was in great pain, moaning and continued this leg movement to get away from the pain. I was on emergency contact to call and it has been 5 months and they have still not contacted me to tell me of father's death. I would consider death worth an emergency call! I was notified by Neptune Society that my father had passed on.
