When my mother's dementia landed her in the hospital and we knew that she could no longer care for herself at home, I was fortunate to hear about Bruce Winstead and Newport Senior Living from a friend. I met with Bruce who went up to UCLA Medical Center to assess my mother and her needs. I moved my mother to Newport Senior Living in June 2010. The staff was welcoming, patient and kind. When I visit, my mother is always clean, and well cared for. The house manager, Chris, is amazing. Her kindness, generosity and patience are beyond words. The house is always clean and bright, nutritious meals are well prepared, and the varying needs of residents are seamlessly met. We moved our mother last summer to Newport Senior Living. It is such a beautiful new home in Newport Beach. We moved her from another location and are so very happy. The owners are wonderful! The staff is caring, loving and so very attentive to our mother's needs and desires. My mom made the adjustment quickly. She has fairly severe dementia and we were worried about the change for her, but everyone was so attentive that she transitioned easily. When I go to see her, she is dressed nicely and looks so pretty. She is very comfortable and has a beautiful room with private bath. The home is clean, the activities are great, the food is wonderful. We are so happy because we feel that our mom has improved with all of the attention and activities.
