My first impression of Chapters is of a civilized elegant Airbnb or vacation destination. It is not a sad dreary place to sentence your unwanted aging family members to but rather a revised slightly tweaked home where your loved one will be respected and treated with dignity while maintaining their independence in a safe environment. The staff is led by a shining example Renee who's infectious smile is constant and who's caring and compassion is present in every facet of this residence. Renee carefully screens tenants to make sure each is a good fit for the house. It is a happy home where needs however significant are met from nutrition to entertainment, medication and physical assistance. She told me of one resident who, pre covid, would leave each day in his car and return later for meals and another who is bedridden and needs a more tailored care plan. The facility can manage both these extremes of care and everything in between. I highly recommend you check them out.

UPDATE:Our mother died peacefully in her sleep this week. Everything I said below is truer than ever. Chapters has become family. As a loving family would do, they were devoted to our mother, accompanied us to medical appointments, came to know Mom's wants and needs, made her laugh and gave her comfort. Josh suggested hospice care (Sea Crest Hospice Services - they were wonderful) at just the right time, and Chapters worked with hospice to fill the last months of our mother's life with dignity, affection and joy. My brother and I moved our mother to Chapters 6 months ago and we constantly marvel at what a great decision we made and how lucky we were to learn about this beautiful board & care. Josh & Renee Radabaugh and all of the caregivers treat every resident with respect and affection. Each resident has different needs - our mom has dementia, other residents may have had a stroke, chronic illness or just the desire to live in a lovely, well-maintained home where family and friends are virtually always visiting - Chapters meets all those needs and more, with holiday and birthday celebrations, the Radabaughs' effervescent young daughter and Delilah, one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet.

My husband I were very fortunate to enjoy the beautiful newly remodeled home for a year. They have a charming toddler who visits and a friendly dog who regularly patrols the premises. The food is good and carefully planned to follow the style of the Mediterranean Diet, beneficial to those with memory and heart impairments. Monthly outings are provided tor theater, boat rides, museum lectures and movies. Festive parties are given to celebrate holidays and birthdays for residents and their families;. The best thing about Chapters is the individual attention provided by the owners who are truly dedicated to caring for and maximizing each individual's potential.
