My father is in love with the facility. After my mother passed, I was concerned about him being alone. At Glen Park, they keep all their residents busy and stimulated with exciting activities. He has taken a huge liking towards the cooking classes they provide!

IF YOU PLAN ON BRINGING YOUR LOVED ONE HERE, PLEASE READ THIS! Let me start off by saying that i worked at this facility for about 2 years as a receptionist and i quit on my terms, i was not terminated therefore i am not writing this to get back at them for any reason. I am writing this review to inform everyone about this facility. I will say that this facility is pretty big and nice looking, but alot of things in the building needed to be fixed and things would aways break. I do understand this building has history so of course things will mess up eventually but the residents would have to suffer at times because of it. Some residents would have to move rooms because of this as well. Management would not inform families about these things happening as well unless they would visit because they would find out eventually. Families are required to bring their loved ones their own diapers, pull ups, wipes etc, and caregivers use them for all the residents who didnt have anyone of these which is so wrong because they are paying for these supplies with their own money and they would have to keep buying more frequently because they run out so fast, of course management would not tell families about this. There were, and im sure to this day, times when some residents would not get a shower for over a week! Glen Park hires caregivers who are careless, lazy and reckless! They are assigned to shower residents and some of the caregivers just refuse to shower some of them, they pick and choose who they want to shower. The food is decent and there really isnt any issues from the kitchen department , ill give them that, however, housekeepers are required to help out in the kitchen during meal times after cleaning rooms, just imagine your mom/dad being served their lunch from people that have germs on them from all the cleaning they've done. The owners are too cheap to hire the appropriate amout of staff to help out. I always got compliants from families about this as well but the owners could care less. People are constantly suing this place as well like all the time, staff is always quitting as well! Ive seen so many people come and go at glen park because of the way they were treated and because of the amount of work they were assigned due to the low amount of staff! The overnight shift is the worst part, there are only 2 caregivers for the whole building! One would have to be at the office and work as receptionist as well and the other caregiver works on one floor. There have been so many incidents that occur at night because of this too. Sometimes when one of the overnight caregivers call off or stop showing up, one of the receptionists would have to stay and work a double and would result in having one caregiver for the whole buiding! There would be alot of unchanged residents because of this. Management would have to come in to assist but they would never answer their phones or help to find a replacement! There were times where the staff would lose a resident, some of them with dementia or alzheimers would walk out and they'd have to call the police to help find them! And its crazy because they have security cameras and somehow they still lost residents. The executive director there is such a bully towards the residents and staff and anyone else, you can even ask family members, staff and residents about her and they will agree with me! She is not a peoples person and she tries to act all nice but shes actually a, well, you know. I am never going to work at an assisted living facility because of this place, my heart breaks seeing the way residents got treated here and i refuse to see it again at a different facility! There is sooooo much more i could say about this place but i said enough. All i know is I would NEVER put my loved one at this place. And i wouldnt recommend you bringing your loved one here either!

Exceptional and professional care. They have gone above and beyond with all their residents. I have not heard a single complaint from my mother or father. So grateful!
