My mom came to Brookdale dementia and memory care facility, Lodi, at 101 years old, for her final months. There was not one minute, of any day, and I would not give this facility and its incredible staff a five star rating. Each and every member of the staff was compassionate, professional and over-the-top kind. They treated mom with respect and always administered theyre gentle, compassionate and effective care which inspired confidence. They took excellent care of mom AND my entire family. No detail was ever overlooked. I will always recommend this facility with great enthusiasm. Our (very difficult to please) mother was very happy there and loved the staff. Without exception we would arrive to find my mom happy, clean and at peace. They treated her like a queen! The incredible care she received was 100% consistent. I was there almost daily and my very large family visited several times a week. At no time was there ever a lapse in the consistent and incredible care our mom received. Our experience exceeded all expectations. We were very worried about taking mom out of her own home and placing her in a facility without having the ability to advocate for herself. Thanks to the incredibly professional angels on earth staff we knew, without a doubt, we made the right decision.Thank you, Brookdale, for making moms final months so wonderful for her and for us.Terry Wyrsch

It's not easy placing your loved one in a memory care facility, however I found it is the best for everyone one concerned. Sometimes you have no choice. I was faced with this decision one year ago. I'm glad I chose Brookdale, Kettleman Lane. It was difficult finding a place that would accept my husband with his behavior issues. Fortunately, Priscilla at Brookdale, kettleman Lane agreed to accept my husband. I will be forever grateful to her and Angela and all the staff. Of course you think no one will take as good of care as yourself of your loved one and that may be true, however the staff at Brookdale comes very close. They are very caring and kind, not only with the resident, but the residents relatives as well. I visited my husband almost daily so I had a chance to observe not only how they treated him, but how they treated the other residence (even when they didn't know I was watching). They didn't just keep him in his room and/or in bed, he was up, dressed and clean every day. Their patience and kindness goes above and beyond. I call them angels. Yes, it is expensive, however the price of peace and mind is priceless. It was important for me to find a place that I didn't mind visiting daily. The facility is very nice and I grew to feel it was my home away from home. They not only have to deal with the resident, but the residents relative and all the different doctors! In my opinion they do an awesome job. If you are ever faced with this decision, please do yourself a favor and consider Brookdale, Kettleman Lane. They are truly amazing!

When the time comes, to take the next step in providing a safe and healthy environment for your family member, the next thought is what is that next step. When you can no longer provide quality care and a safe living environment for your family member and you must look outside of the family, the obvious choice is a facility that can meet both the physical needs and a provide a safe environment for them to live in. You know it is the right decision, but there is still a small feeling of guilt. So, you start looking at the different places to find one that will provide the care that is needed. After searching several facilities, I placed my Dad with Brookdale Memory Care facility in Lodi. When you meet with them the first time, you will be greeted by Angela, a lovely young lady with a warm, caring smile and an understanding manner of what you are facing. She will listen to your concerns and personal situation for as long as you need. She will answer your questions with honesty and understanding and no pressure to decide, as she knows that part of the decision-making process is that the whole family must be on board and comfortable with the final decision. If you should decide that Brookdale is right for your family, you will find the staff is just as caring as Angela. They will look after your family member and do their best to make them as comfortable, safe and give them a quality of life that fits their situation.Brookdale is not home, but they have people who care and love each individual that they care for. There are medical professionals on duty 24 hours a day, so, you can rest assured that your family member is safe and living in a clean wholesome environment. So, when that time comes do yourself, family and your loved one a favor and talk with Angela to learn what Brookdale can do for you.

Brookdale Kettleman Lane is a beautiful facility. It is set up nicely with good sized resident rooms, nice living areas and gardens and good dining. The caregivers are friendly, well trained and seem dedicated to the residents. The management staff is friendly, approachable and seem genuinely concerned about the residents and any family feedback. My biggest complaint...the cost. Brookdale is very expensive and compared to other facilities, it's (again) very expensive. I'm guessing it's because they're owned by a big corporation (unfortunately,) so corporate sets the prices. I don't believe my mom is getting more care or different care or better care as her health declines, yet her monthly costs keep going up. I do feel like it's a corporate decision to make money off our elderly, declining population and it's really sad.
