Visiting Angels

Life-savers. Angels. Compassionate, caring, dedicated caregivers who responded to an ever-changing situation with our Mom over the past 14 months. We are so grateful and thankful for their help...In June of 2018, we needed to find in-home caregivers to come in part-time and help out with our Mom in the mornings, three days a week. We were apprehensive about the selection process for obvious reasons, not the least of which was Mom's willingness to accept in-home help. We were very fortunate to have selected Visiting Angels in Lemon Grove with Kevin and his team. Over 14 months, as our Mom's condition worsened, the care-giving team at Visiting Angels was there with us every step of the way, right up until the end, as we moved from part-time to round-the-clock in-home care for our Mom . As her physical needs increased and her capabilities decreased, the staff responded with grace and professionalism and helped us keep Mom at home and as independent as possible, even through the start of hospice care. Kevin, Sylvia, and the team responded to our requests immediately and were always there when we needed to increase hours, extend shifts, or change schedules - Our family can't thank them enough for this, but most of all, for our team of Angels who took such good care of Mom both days and nights with love and tenderness - God Bless all of you.

We had a very positive experience with Visiting Angels in Lemon Grove, CA. With their help we were able to let our mother live in the family home by herself for 1.5 years longer than we would have otherwise. They have some very good caregivers, and the management was always available to monitor things and respond to our requests.

I didn't know what to expect. It as last minute, I was not there and I need to find someone to assist my relative for 3 weeks while she as at OHI/Optimum Health Institute in Lemon Grove, CA. Kevin, the owner of Visiting Angels, Lemon Grove and his team of care providers consistently over delivered. My relative loved each of her care providers and Kevin responded, 'YES' to every one of my requests; and timely complete clear communications. We truly cant say enough good things about our familys experience with Visiting Angels. Our uncle was 75, had been diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia, and was legally blind following 2 ischemic strokes in his optic nerves. He required care 24 hours a day. Following a bad experience at an assisted living facility we decided to bring our uncle to our home for his care. For those who dont know, caring for another ailing person is very difficult, but compounded with dementia it is very challenging. Our goal was to provide our uncle with care for the remainder of his life; however long he had. If we had not hired Visiting Angels to help us 8 hours per day we would not have been able to keep him home, allowing him to pass in his own home with family surrounding him. Visiting Angels were absolutely wonderful to work with. You can customize a plan with your specific needs, which is then matched with the best caregiver. Our primary caregiver, Ruth was caring, nurturing, skilled and professional. We had total confidence in her ability to perform the duties for which she was hired, which in turn gave us peace of mind and allowed us time for ourselves (which is very scarce when you are in this situation). Visiting Angels was with us until the end. We recommend them highly to anyone looking for a caregiver.
