This place was in the dungeon of the assisted living homes. The rooms were not clean. I'm not sure if someone had just moved out or moved in. They had no decor it looked like an old creepy old hospital. I met with the manger, Mike Marion, who didnt seem to care much of his elder renters, he cared more about renting rooms for money. We decided to move my mom into Huntington Terrace. My mom is very happy, Heidi did a great job showing me around and all the services they provide. Since my mom has been at Terrace we all have heard such horror stories about Sea Cliff. Glad we looked a around a bit.

False Imprisonment! They will not allow my mothers to leave or have visitors! DO NOT GO HERE! They willNever let you leave! They will not allow you visitors! Code of Regs 72527(a)(11).Some nursing home operators claim nursing home law does not contain a clear statement that residents have a right to leave. Although the above-cited laws and regulations disprove this claim, a nursing home residents civil right to leave a nursing home does not depend on their in- terpretation. Theres no law that says library patrons may not be locked in libraries or restaurant3customers may not be locked in restaurants, yet no one ever claims that readers and diners are fair game for imprisonment. The Right to Move Freely About the WorldAll adults have the right to move freely and choose where they want to live and whether or not to receive health care or care services from somebody. In other words, when someone goes to a long term care facility, they do not leave their rights at the door. They have every right not to be imprisoned, even if someone like a doctor or a facility administrator believes the resident does not have the capacity to make sound decisions. This guide explains the formal process required to keep a person in a care facility against their will. only a judge has the ability to declare someone incompetent and take away their right to come and go as they please. U.S. and California law generally permit people to move about freely in their worlds. The U.S. and California Constitutions provide a right of privacy and guarantee that liberty interests may not be deprived without due process of law. The right to choose your own residence, be free from detention, and control health care decisions are guaranteed as part of the fundamental concept of liberty that Americans celebrate and defend.2

My great-grandma loved living at Sea Cliff. She was nervous at first about moving out of her house, but the transition was smooth and she really enjoyed calling this community her home. The staff took great care of her and her room was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend Sea Cliff Assisted Living!
