My Dad has lived at Cascades of Grass Valley for four years, first in Independent Living and now Memory Care. His needs have changed quite a bit over time.Last year I was happy to learn that Wellness Director, Pepsi Pittman had taken over as executive director. This was an excellent choice and natural fit. I believe her medical knowledge of age-associated cognitive decline helps to ensure the highest standard of senior care. Her staff are loving, patient and attentive. Cascades has a homey and welcoming atmosphere and I always look forward to visiting. Most importantly is peace of mind in knowing my Dad is well looked after the times I cant be with him.

My mom had early on set dementia. We knew she needed more care than we could give her at home but weren't ready to see her live in Memory Care. Cascades allowed her to live in her own assisted living apartment but gave the extra reminders and assistance needed to someone suffering from memory loss. When she could no longer live in her own apartment, they found a home for her in the Memory Care Lodge. The staff was patient, compassionate, and became family, not only to her but also to us. During her last days we were able to stay with her. Staff members came by, even on their days off to say their goodbyes. I can't imagine a better place, or better people, to have been there for us through our journey.
