I called Cynthia and inquired about my mother's rental application and deposit. She was very polite, professional and answered all of my questions. I can see how some might find her abrasive as she was stern and no non-sense and I'm convinced she would not cater to lazy, or 'un-together' individuals. I've never met her or rented from her but my experience on the phone was A+.

If i could rate it 0 stars I would. This is the message i left the Regional Manager with before my grandmother left.Hello my name is Hannah May. My grandmother is a tenant of Normandy Park Apartments since 2015. I have been made aware of several issues she has had since she first arrived at the location. I have personally witnessed the treatment she gives her tenants. My grandmother is very aware of her surroundings as well as maintaining cleanliness around and inside her apartment, but everytime we go to discuss an issue we are having the apartment manager will brush it off and try to find an excuse not to do it. Such as recently when a dead cat was left to rot in some bushes outside of my grandmothers apartment. It was there for about 2 weeks before anything was done and it had made her sick to her stomach. The apartment manager has always been unprofessional talking to the tenants as if she runs a care home, and that all of them are senile. She talked down to my grandmother as if she was mentally disabled, which i can assure you she is not. Then in Summer of last year my support dog Bandit accompanied me to my grandmothers apartment outside as I was going to pick up a grocery list. Several days after the incident the manager had a 'talk' with my grandmother. My dog who is a registered support animal is apparently not allowed on the property, which is not legally acceptable. She has been nothing but condescending and unprofessional since the first month of living their but, due to retaliation fears we have not decided to contact a higher up until we are leaving because she is a very angry individual. Recently the incident that sent us over the edge is when my grandmother was injured in a hit and run accident right in front of the apartments and the manager knocked on her door and as we were opening the door she barged in stating 'is it all right if i come in?' i mean i guess so since you've already barged your way in the door. She came to ask my grandma details about her accident, in the mean while we had parked her car in her assigned parking spot while we awaited a claim adjuster. The vehicle was not leaking and still able to drive. Turns out she was asking details only to tell my grandma 2 days later that she needed to move the vehicle (my grandma can barely stand because of whiplash and seatbelt trauma) my grandmother called me crying at this point she had threatened to have it towed. I handled it now but she didn't need to act concerned about her when she was only setting her up. I am extremely displeased about the treatment of my grandmother by the manager. I have overheard several tenants complaining about the way she handles situations, We have never once done anything that is out of the guidelines of these apartments besides report what needs to be done to make the community safe and clean (which should be done regardlesss since these are rather an expensive senior apartment community) I hope that this message finds you in good health and that these issues are addressed with the manager so that future tenants will not be treated the same way we were treated. I would really appreciate it.If i had to go through all of this in a little over a year of living here, please do yourself a favor and do not rent from Normandy park apartment until they do something about the current management of these apartments. It is more stress than an expensive apartment should be.
