I called the Villa to inquire pricing information for my father and scheduled a tour the same day. When I arrived, I was greeted with a smile and was offered refreshments. I toured the facility with the Administrator who was kind and friendly. Everyone was very accommodating.

Both my grandmothers were residents at 'The Villa' in Castro Valley. Over the years, our family has witnessed The Villa go through many changes, and through ups and downs. The Villa is currently under the leadership of Parveen Singh, who has completely turned around the management and made The Villa a safe, wonderful, engaging place for the residents who live there and their families. The facility is clean and the residents are cared for appropriately. Parveen, as well as the lead RN Kathy, are incredible professionals who have improved The Villa to become the best I've seen it in over a decade. They are wonderful leaders in The Villa community and I am forever appreciative of them making my grandmother's last days as comfortable as possible. There are so many names that I am so grateful for. Parveen and Kathy, also Christie, MaryKay, Doreen, the list goes on. They provided, and continue to provide, compassionate, respectful care to her and to my family and I am forever grateful. I would not have recommended The Villa a few years ago, but with these improvements and changes in leadership and management, I would absolutely recommend The Villa now. Thank you all at The Villa.

My parents moved to Eden Villa Assisted Living in May of 2014. I have found the facility to be well run and managed and the staff to be kind and caring and attentive to the needs of residents. The nursing staff does a good job of providing necessary medications, attending to the medical needs of the residents and advising us of any particular problems. The handyman is excellent at helping with whatever issues might arise, and the front desk receptionist is kind and helpful and does a very good job. The staff provides lots of activities and entertainment for the residents and very nice meals three times a day and snacks. The facility also regularly sponsors dining in parties on holidays and special events which are fun to attend. My sister and I have always felt welcome when visiting and the management and staff have always been responsive to our needs and requests. My father recently passed away and we are grateful for the kind and loving support the facility provided to him and to us. My mother continues to reside there and the management and staff have been wonderful in providing her the support and assistance she needs. I certainly recommend that you consider Eden Villa as an assisted living facility.

I've had mom there for 2.5 years and she loves it. I rarely see her in her room, she is always out and about either in the garden, kibitzintg with the front desk or taking part in an activity. That really wasn't the case when we first got her there and we have seen a marked improvement in her disposition since arriving at Eden Villa. Prior to Eden Villa she slept quite a bit because she said she was bored. I really appreciate the effort made to get her out of shell and interacting again. Her room is always clean (and private) and the staff calls me when she runs out of personal items that aren't covered under pharmacy. I have quizzed the nursing staff several times about her meds and other care and they have always been on top of things everytime I checked.I have always thought Eden was well organized and cheery, but lately I have noticed they are 'plusing' the grounds with new paint, landscaping, wall art, etc. Love the extra effort! I read somewhere to watch what maintenance is doing (or not doing) to help assess whether or not to join a facility or to continue to stay. I have reported a couple of items to maintenance at Eden and one was taken care on the spot and the other by 11AM the next day. Thanks to Jack and his staff (they even fixed mom's cable) for taking care of all the details that matter most to mom's happiness.
