Amazing Staff.....
Seeker of Truth USA
My mother was placed their recovering from a stroke and they wouldn't let her speak to family on the phone visiting her was impossible for me because of where I live and her nurse hung up on several family members. Also my mother claimed they treated an African American woman horrible.

I help care for a 90yr old gentleman who has a heart condition, has 'Dementia' and who also has issues with anxiety in the late afternoon, and Luckily his insurance covers this place. But the Staff here has shown unbelievable amounts of kindness, compassion, and almost uncanny knack for anticipating his needs and just all the nurses, administrators and physical therapists all around do an amazing job! (And Despite the elderly gentleman whom i live with, although he has devoloped a reputation as one of those patients who can be difficult which makes him difficult to care for as a patient because he gets afraid in the early to late afternoons and calls for help even though he's safe. And throughout that, they've gone the extra mile for him and been SO PATIENT with him, And the way those nurses work so hard and still they find the time to cover the many other patients those nurse's have astounds me! Also, the type of person he is, he hasn't exercised a day since the minute he left the army, and despite his favorite habit of making excuses rather than trying to exercise, the Physical Therapy staff won't let him get away with any of his usual stunts or reasons not to exercise either! This place is the best i've ever seen, And i've volunteered at some of these types of places! If you ever get surgery and need a place to recover or an elderly family member this is THE PLACE to go in santa cruz county and possibly in all of northern California, i mean it! They are just that aweseome!

What a wonderful place! My ex is there right now, re-habing from a visit to the hospital, and weakness from breast cancer. The staff is awesome, care about her, and have gotten to know her. Best part is her dog can come and visit her, right in her room. It has been an amazing blessing for both of them! Thank you, Pacific Coast Manor.
