we never got any lunch breaks during noc because we were so understaffed. Only 1 caregiver per building at night and when we were short on pm it would be 1 caregiver per building too. Instead of finding coverage they just force staff to stay and work doubles. They didnt even ask staff not even taking into consideration that they have little kids. It was really hard to get around to every patient in a timely manner and meet their needs when they needed them met because we were so understaffed. Everyone was always stressed and anxious before and during their shift. Nothing was ever good enough no matter how hard you work. The residents were the best part the ONLY good part at that. Management is unprofessional. When most of us asked for more staff they said that it would be a luxury 1 person in each building is and always has been enough. When in reality the care taker is running around room to room and to the entrance trying to stop residents from eloping . Trying to be everywhere at once. New employees would always quit after finding out how much work we did, how little we were paid and how understaffed we were.

I have to say that this place is horrible. The staff is all very caring towards the residents but they are never appreciated by management. Management is unbelievably rude and unprofessional. We would do an overwhelming amount of work and get paid the bare minimum. Noc shift never received a lunch break and were severely understaffed. only 1 caregiver per building so 1 caregiver for 23-30 residents. Not safe for the residents or for staff. Not to mention there are some highly aggressive patients. Workers have been severely injured at night because they dont have help. They assume theyre sleeping all night but that was never the case we always had problems with patients sundowning. Management always showers AM staff with gifts and food then leave the half eaten leftover stale food for pm and Noc. We were told to not be caught taking a resting break and we didnt even get our lunch breaks. Residents are woken up extremely early by noc staff so AM staff can have a smooth shift. Most of the AM staff is very rude most have been reported for bullying or harassment towards their coworkers but nothing is ever done. If you are looking for a job where you and the work you do is appreciated dont come looking here. Or at least dont work PM or NOC shift.
