Initially, the appearance of the building was new and modern, promising to provide the best up-to-date advice and care possible. The initial contact with the front desk staff was pleasant. After the initial paperwork was done, I was shown to Dr. Smith's exam room. I told him I was seeking advice on a certain medicine I was taking. Dr. Smith, an older doctor, listened carefully, made a few tried and true suggestions and then asked his nurse to help me get undressed, that is fully undressed, he wanted to check my knees and heart. I told the nurse, I had a specialist for my knees and one for my heart and I wasn't taking off my clothes. Dr. Smith came into the room and was very upset that I hadn't followed orders. He said, 'Well, I've just waisted an hour! I can't help you if you don't let me examine you.' On leaving, the office personnel asked if I wanted to make another appointment. I said, 'I won't be coming back.' The lady referred me to another office member and for a second I thought I would have to put on my boxing gloves to get my ID and insurance cards from her.
