Moody Senior Center

The City of Moody has really outdone itself with the Senior Center for its residents!!! Ms. Addie Duke, director, well, she's absolutely great with them. I can truly say this since my husband goes there that they have a great time. They are open Monday- Thursday, 9a- 1p. Residents that want to, can be picked up at home and dropped back off close to closing. Sam's usually here by 12:30. They play Wii, card games, puzzles, read, line dancing on Monday's, Bingo on Tuesday, exercise on Wednesday and Thursday's are Bible study. Line dancing is sometimes an excursion out to one of the local nursing homes. Bingo, at least once a month is at The Shops of Grand River in Leeds. They can purchase their lunch there at the food court or the center will take their lunch for them to eat at the food court. Viva Health is in charge of it and they give away prizes. They sometimes go to another local center and play their also. They go to breakfast or lunch excursions also during the month. The Senior center provides them with a delicious hot lunch Monday- Thursday, with dessert, and a sandwich to take home, with dessert, for Friday's. So far this year, Ms. Duke is planning a trip to ride the Chattanooga Choo-Choo train, a trip to Cape Cod and possibly a trip to Alaska for those that would like to go. They just got back from the Grand Canyon in June. I'm telling you, their calendar stays pretty busy !!!

Love to go there and do things with my friends. We play bingo on Tuesday and exercise on Wed. On Thursday we have bible study. In the early mornings a few of us play bowling on the Wii. Oh I forgot to mention on Monday they have line dancing. We also go on trips, both one day trips and three to four day trips. We have a lot of fun.

We love moody senior center its the best place for people over 60 miss addie is nices person ever we all love her so if your over 60 come jont us we love to have yall
