Birmingham Nursing & Rehab Center

My younger brother was admitted in March 2020 after surgery from UAB to revive care and rehabilitation to help him walk again. Nothing but smoke and mirrors. After 3 months , nothing but incompetence. I understand with the pandemic things are tight, very little contact from family members. However service definitely bottom of the barrel . After weeks and weeks of trying to get his Medicaid money, no results. The rehabilitation center fired the accounts person and we had to start all over again. Now after three weeks still no Medicaid form have been filed. My 80 year old mother has tried on many occasions and I mean many to make contact , brought cell phones to give to him since the Nursing home has many excuses why the phone in his room dont work . His laundry end up missing mom would go by to pick up his laundry and nothing . All he has is a cheap hospital gown. More excuses. He has missed Two doctor appointments because of miscommunication between the nursing home and his doctor. Wouldnt transport him to the doctor. More excuses. Not worth it. My brother is sicker and a whole worse off the the time he was admitted . Yes sure if we had millions of dollars Things would be a lot different they would be jumping through fire to help him, but since we are A finically poor family Bend over

Brought back from the dead there.Everyone on the or staff were caring and professional.The rehabilitation sector headed by Anthony got me back on my feet to fight another day .Thumbs Up

The ladys in the front office Latasha and the young lady in the front who answers the phones are very unprofessional and nasty. LaTasha gave me very little help actually none at all on help filling my father's paperwork out. I opened the top drawer on my father's dresser and a lot of Nats flew out. There are a lot of good attitude hard workers there. How ever those two attitudes were so bad it ruined the others.

Poor facility it stinks they dont take care of your love ones if you have a loved one Im begging you please dont send them there they are horrible !!!
